Universal Colour Masterbatch (EP 27)

    Description:

    EP 27 Color Master batch is a special grade master batch. This master batch is made with Silicon base color pigment. This is specially developed for XLPE, EBXL & EPDM Insulated and sheathed Cables used in Solar Energy, Locomotive, Automotive and Aeronautic/Aviation Industries. It can be also used with different grade of PVC, EVA, and Rubber base compounds.

    Composition :

    The universal grade colour master batch contains a mixture of some special chemicals with Silicon base color pigment, selected for their superior electrical properties, for dispersed polyolefinic. EP 27 color master batch is also contained UV resistant monomer units.

    Appearance :

    Granulates free from fines.

    Dosages :

    Approximately At 0.5 - 1.5% addition.

    Dispensability :

    The EP 27 Color Master batch will disperse easily in XLPE, EBXL, PVC and Rubber base cable compound and no nibs or spots of undispersed pigment will be present.

    Shelf Life/Storage:

    EP 27 Color Master batch can be stored for 12 months from date of manufacturing, without significant deterioration of the quality of material. However, it is recommended to be consumed as soon as possible.

    EP 27 Color Master batch is recommended to be stored at in a cool, dry & clean environment in unopened original packaging.

    Packaging:

    25 / 30 Kg packed in Moisture Barrier Multi-layer liner with PP Woven bag.

    Processing Guidelines:

    It is recommended to dry the master batch @ 80°- 85°C for about 15 minutes, before used in the polymer.

    Safety:

    EP 27 Color Master batch is not classified as dangerous preparation.
    The products are supplied in the form of free-flowing granules of approx. 2-3 mm size and can be readily handled with commercially available equipment. Handling and transport of the products may generate some dust and fines, which constitute a potential hazard for dust explosion. All metal parts in the system should therefore be properly grounded. Properly designed equipment and good housekeeping will reduce the risk. Inhalation of any type of dust should be avoided as it may cause irritation of the respiratory system. The product is intended for industrial use only. MSDS is available on request.
